A New Journey

Today I registered for my first class at the University of Alberta.  I am officially accepted into the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, specializing in Curriculum & Pedagogy.  My first course is EDES 542 - Inquiry-Based Instruction.  As I have already started teaching this style, I'm hoping that the course will give me even more tools to pass on to the students.  This past year, I experienced a steep learning curve with project based/problem based instruction.  The class ranged from 11-14 students, grades one to nine. Talk about a multi-grade classroom. It was a one room schoolhouse!  And I loved it and the students!

This blog is a place for me to post my reflections on this journey.  I have wanted to pursue my Master's program for several years so I'm quite excited.
